Training for Healthcare Providers
In coordination with the Rescue Training Institute, we also hold classes for healthcare providers. These classes are taught by Certified Instructor Coordinators (CIC) and accompanied by Certified Lab Instructors (CLI). All Healthcare Provider training include the newest protocol updates and class attendees will receive Continuous Medical Education credits. Some of the training courses include:
- Intranasal Naloxone
- CPR Instructor Essentials
- CEVO III Ambulance
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- ACLS Heartcode

Members of the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps actively participate in community training and education sessions. Our volunteer instructors been evaluated and cleared by New York State Department of Health Certified Instructor Coordinators for their teaching skills and abilities. We will come to your designated venue and teach or you can have a number of individuals attend sessions at our headquarters (Onderdonk and Greene). If you are involved with an organization that would like training on the BLS level, including but not limited to:
- First Aid
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use
- Basic Splinting and Immobilization
- Basic Fire Prevention (Special)
