RVAC STATISTICS

Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps serves many communities in Queens and Brooklyn. RVAC has one of the largest service areas of any volunteer ambulance service in the five boroughs of NYC.

  • RVAC’s service area covers approximately 5% of New York City covering approximately 16.8 square miles of area in the communities of RIDGEWOOD, WYCKOFF HEIGHTS, BUSHWICK, MIDDLE VILLAGE, MASPETH, GLENDALE, SUNNYSIDE, WOODSIDE, LONG ISLAND CITY, WOODHAVEN, AND RICHMOND HILL.

  • RVAC has an active membership of 90 members providing services on the ambulance and behind the scenes!

  • Our Youth Squad, started by Captain Sexton, has 10 active members who are eager to learn and support their community. The Youth Corps also enters competitions and represents the future of the ambulance corps.

  • RVAC’s fleet currently involves 3 ambulances of different styles, including a beautiful old-style ambulance you might see out in the city!
